Little is a Staunton native who graduated from Robert E. Lee High School. He then went on to Radford University where he earned a degree in English. Following college, Little worked as a newspaper reporter for 3½ years at the Fincastle Herald in Botetourt, where he reported on many criminal cases. Going to court sparked Little’s interest in the law, and he enrolled in law school. Little graduated from the Appalachian School of Law in 2007 and passed the bar a few months later. Little worked as a public defender for 6 months before returning to Staunton and opening his solo practice in 2008.
